OPatch how to use?


export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1

cd to /u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/OPatch

copy the patch to Opatch Directory
unzip patch

[oracle@web OPatch]$ ./opatch apply 18072286/ -oh /u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/
[oracle@web OPatch]$ ./opatch apply 18072286/ -oh /u01/Middleware/oracle_common/
you can specify the patch directory as follows

[oracle@web OPatch]$ ./opatch apply /u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/OPatch/18072286/ -oh /u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/
[oracle@web OPatch]$ ./opatch apply /u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/OPatch/18072286/ -oh /u01/Middleware/oracle_common/


Verifying the update…
Patch 18072286 successfully applied
Log file location: /u01/Middleware/Oracle_SOA1/cfgtoollogs/opatch/18072286_Jun_22_2014_16_22_32/apply2014-06-22_16-22-31PM_1.log

OPatch succeeded.
export ORACLE_HOME=/u01/app/oracle/Product/11.2.0/dbhome_1
